Armenuhi Karapetyan

Armenuhi Karapetyan, a lecturer and docent at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, was born on September 20, 1965, in Yerevan. She graduated from the composition department of the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas, completing her postgraduate studies in the class of Professor G. Saryan. In 1990, she also graduated from the flute class under Professor L. Aloyan.
From 1994 to 1995, she studied at the National Conservatory of Boulogne, France, where she pursued composition under P. Gruvel and flute under S. Nessy.
Karapetyan is the author of two operas, a ballet, the "Yerkir Nairi" cantata, as well as various chamber and instrumental works, choral and vocal cycles, and children's compositions.
In 1977, a Japanese television company produced a documentary titled The Young Composer about her, which aired in Japan, Russia, and Armenia. Her works have been performed in numerous countries, including France, Japan, Switzerland, the USA, Italy, Greece, Egypt, England, Lebanon, Germany, and Portugal.
She has received numerous national awards and is the winner of four international competitions.
